How to Arrange a Visit

We strongly encourage prospective students and their families to visit the University and our College. Several options for doing this are listed below, including virtual visits/videos are available.

Lodewick Visitors Center

Contact the Lodewick Visitors Center (phone: 860-486-4900) to arrange a guided campus tour and for other suggestions regarding your visit to the Storrs campus.

Information Sessions

If you are interested in learning more about the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources or the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture, appointments to speak virtually to a general academic advisor are available throughout the academic year.  You can contact the office directly to set up an individual appointment with a general academic advisor.

If you are interested in learning more about a specific major in the College, our academic departments welcome the opportunity to visit, with some hosting both in person and virtual options, with prospective students and their families. Please contact the department directly. At times, it can be challenging for departments to accommodate all of the requests that they receive. Therefore we ask that you please try to schedule a date and time as far in advance as possible.

Husky-for-a-Day Program

Prospective students can attend classes with a current student, sample meals at a dining facility, and visit residence halls. This is a great way to get the “feel” of the University. For more information, visit the Husky-for-a-Day website, call (860) 486-1601, or email hap@uconn.edu.  Please note Husky-for-a-Day program may be limited/cancelled due to Covid-19 social distancing measures on campus.

University Open Houses (Fall and Spring)

The University is hosting a virtual open house in Fall 2020 for all prospective students. The spring open house is for admitted students and is held in mid to late April. Open houses are the best opportunity to learn about the admissions process, financial aid, housing and student life, and to attend informational sessions specific to your area(s) of interest. Information on open house events can be obtained by contacting the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
